Bombshell Claim About the Future

Former Galatasaray executive Bülent Tulun has evaluated the agenda of the yellow-red team on Ajansspor. Tulun made remarkable comments about the future of the team’s loaned striker Victor Osimhen, for whom Cimbom worked intensively to secure the transfer.

“Mertens Could Join Buruk’s Team”

Tulun suggested that Dries Mertens could join Okan Buruk’s coaching staff at the end of the season. He stated, “Mertens is a very ethical player. He has a strong background, he performed his duties at Galatasaray admirably. I think he might retire at the end of the season. He could be part of Okan Buruk’s team. He is a very decent person, and he would be beneficial. He is an internationally significant player. He can speak two or three languages. He knows Turkey well. He would contribute a lot.”

“Osimhen Will Stay at Galatasaray”

Tulun claimed that Victor Osimhen will remain at Galatasaray. He said, “Osimhen is an incredible person and player. Over this period, he has contributed to the team, elevated it, and played like a 40-year-old Galatasaray supporter. Osimhen will stay at Galatasaray. It is very possible. He is very happy here.”

“Rights Can Be Acquired with Certain People’s Contributions”

Tulun suggested that Galatasaray could acquire Osimhen’s transfer rights with the contributions of certain individuals. He mentioned, “He gained sympathy not only with his football but also with his behavior. I think he is very happy to be living in Istanbul. Galatasaray is doing very well financially. With the contributions of certain people at Galatasaray, all rights can be acquired. If Osimhen says ‘I want to stay at Galatasaray,’ I wouldn’t be surprised. The reported figure for all his rights negotiated with Napoli is between 70 and 80 million euros. Osimhen’s salary is between 10 and 15 million euros. He has great camaraderie, people love him. Of course, the final decision will be made by the Galatasaray management.”

“Muslera Will Bid Farewell, Might Return to Italy”

Bülent Tulun, who managed Fernando Muslera’s Galatasaray tenure in 2011, claimed that the Uruguayan goalkeeper will bid farewell to the yellow-reds at the end of the season. Tulun discussed Muslera’s next destination, stating, “I don’t think he will return to his country. He might go back to Italy; he has a plan to live there. It’s a possibility. He came to us from Lazio. He has been guarding Galatasaray’s goal for 14 years. He has been very successful. It’s very difficult to find a foreign player who has played successfully for such a long time. There are offers from Argentina and Mexico. He may play for one more year in one of these countries before retiring.”

The Didier Drogba Incident

Bülent Tulun mentioned that the Galatasaray administration’s support message to Mourinho caused Didier Drogba to be upset. He explained, “The administration’s reaction due to Drogba not celebrating his birthday, related to the Mourinho issue, had an impact, but Mourinho, who was an important figure in Drogba’s career, played a significant role in his success. These are things that happen in football.”

“An Undefeated Championship Would Be Much More Meaningful”

Finally, Tulun pointed out that Galatasaray has two challenging away matches in the championship race: one against Beşiktaş and the other against Samsunspor. He expressed his belief that Galatasaray will not lose in the remaining weeks. He concluded, “I believe Galatasaray‘s chance of winning the championship is 80 percent. An undefeated championship would be much more meaningful. It will be a crucial part of Okan Buruk’s CV. Previously, Galatasaray achieved an undefeated second place.”
